Miami Custom Millwork is conceived as a focused millwork studio for one-off residential and commercial interiors. The work starts by understanding the architecture, the intended use, and the details that should remain quiet.
Rather than forcing a standard product into the space, each commission develops its own proportion, material rhythm, storage logic, and relationship to adjacent finishes.

Design Principles
Clarity comes before decoration. A limited material palette, aligned reveals, considered grain direction, and discreet hardware often create more impact than unnecessary complexity.
Every piece we design responds to its space first. Ceiling height, window placement, and sightlines all inform scale and placement — a cabinet that ignores the room around it will always feel out of place, no matter how well it’s built.
Storage, wiring, and mechanisms should work invisibly. Push-to-open panels, integrated pulls, and concealed hinges let a piece perform its job without announcing it — the function is there when you need it, and disappears when you don’t.
Where one material meets another — wood to stone, matte to gloss, warm tone to cool tone — should never happen by accident. Every transition is planned to create a deliberate visual break or a seamless one, depending on what the design calls for.
Millwork rarely exists in isolation. Before a single cut is made, we coordinate with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other trades to make sure every interface — outlets, vents, switches — is planned for, not patched in after the fact.
Materials
Wood is selected for grain, tone, stability, and the way it will be touched and seen. Veneer, solid wood, paint-grade panels, metal, glass, stone, and durable laminates each have appropriate uses; the strongest schemes use them with restraint.
For Miami conditions, humidity, direct sun, salt exposure, and air-conditioning cycles are practical design inputs. Exterior applications require a separate, weather-rated strategy rather than interior cabinetry moved outside.
Coordination
Beautiful millwork depends on what happens around it. Appliances, stone, lighting, power, plumbing, flooring, walls, ceilings, doors, and other trades all affect the final fit.
Clear information, verified dimensions, samples, and resolved interfaces reduce surprises and allow the visible work to remain calm.
